Shumway Farms is a 8 generation family farm operation. Edwin Shumway has been growing popcorn for over 20 years. Mentored by Jack Wagner of the former Magic Pop in Colon, MI.. In 2000 Ed decided to become Shumway Farms Theater Style Popcorn, LLC.
We grow such popcorn as Zangger Popcorn Hybrids of North Loup, NE. www.zanggerpopcornhybrids.com and Vogel Popcorn in Lake View, IA. www.vogelpopcorn.com. Shumway Farms processes approximately 2000 acres grown on our farm and by neighboring farmers on our team. We, also, have an Agent/Processor in South Africa to more economically supply our friends in this hemisphere.
Our customer base consists primarily of Michigan companies and also some out of state business. Our popcorn is also shipped to Canada and also by full container loads to Costa Rica, Honduras, Taiwan, and Trinidad and Tobago. All our customers are privately or generically labeled to the public.
